This June, join us in The Kitchen Garden as five actors, with all manner of musical instruments, present an inventive take on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream - a comic tale of runaway lovers, beguiling potions and a rather unfortunate individual who gets turned into a donkey…
Join us on this summer’s evening, for an open-air theatre performance played out on the lawn in The Kitchen Garden, surrounded by our blossoming flowers, Yorkshire wildlife and herbaceous borders.
On the evening, we’ll be serving handcrafted garden cocktails from our Boiler House Bar, so all you need to bring is your favourite company and comfiest low back chairs for very British summer evening in the garden. The Fools perform Shakespeare in almost any kind of setting - to date, they have performed at castles, cathedrals, historic houses, gardens, churches, market places, village greens, an old fire station, a medieval crypt, a crowded pub and a garlic farm – all the world's a stage! And now it’s the turn of our gorgeous Kitchen Garden and Fig House!
