Spend the morning with Victoria Brook, the Newcastle-based founder of My Giant Hands Made These. Victoria creates beautiful, artistic ceramics, and in this morning workshop, she will show you how to design and create your very own mug.
After a demonstration from Victoria, you will begin making either a pinch pot mug with carved details or a slab-built mug. Victoria will be on hand to guide you through the process. Once your mug is designed, Victoria will take it back to her kiln for firing. It will be ready for collection from the estate four to 6 weeks after the workshop, or alternatively, it can be posted to your home for an additional fee.
Our chefs will be baking a batch of their delicious homemade scones, which will be served with hot drinks at 10.30am. We do ask that you wear suitable clothing to be working with clay as the process can be quite messy.
The workshop starts at 9.15am, so if you wish, you could book a table for breakfast at the Coach House before the session begins, or book a table for lunch afterwards, as the workshop finishes at 11.30am.
A creative way to spend a spring morning.
