Join us for a springtime open day in the Walled Garden at Middleton Lodge, in support of the National Garden Scheme. Set within the Middleton Lodge estate, this magnificent two-acre Georgian walled garden was designed by renowned landscape designer Tom Stuart-Smith. Spring, summer and prairie borders create a rich tapestry of colour and form throughout the seasons, while the Fig House overlooks a formal lawn framed by pear, wisteria and white rose-clad arbours. An extensive kitchen garden supplies fresh produce for the estate kitchens, and members of the gardening team will be on hand throughout the day to share insight into the garden’s design, planting and seasonal care. Refreshments will be available at the Coach House restaurant, with pre-booking essential. No dogs permitted.
Getting there:
Please follow signage to the Coach House and park in the Coach House car park. From there, walk along the gravel path beside the restaurant to reach the Walled Garden.
Please note:
– Entry is via online booking only
– Refreshments are served at the Coach House; no food or drink will be available in the Fig House
– The Main House will be closed, though guests are welcome to enjoy the surrounding grounds
A relaxed day to explore one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful gardens, while supporting a charitable cause.
