On the estate the air is crisp, the log burning stoves are being lit and, in the kitchens, sweet, comforting, seasonal plates are being cooked up using ingredients from our walled gardens and woodland.
Tuck yourself away in one of our home-from-home rooms, for that much needed night in the country. Think long bubble baths, an extra hour or two in bed, and waking up to views of the surrounding Yorkshire parkland. Borrow Barbour wellingtons at reception and enjoy the woodland walk, which comes alive at golden hour.
Plan a day in at the Forest Spa, connecting to nature with a massage in a treatment hut. Take a swim in the heated outdoor pool. Slow right down and relax in the thermal spa area or pool lounge. Choose between our morning, afternoon, evening or day spa experiences…
When it comes to eating, autumn is a season of feasting. For generous, warm and hearty plates from the garden, land or sea, book a table at the Coach House. And don’t forget to try the new season’s cocktails at the bar.
On Thursday to Sunday evenings, make a reservation to dine at Forge, choosing between the six or ten-course tasting experiences. Courses are refined and detailed, telling a story of the estate through the senses.
Escape to the estate this autumn…
