Forge at Middleton Lodge Awarded a Michelin Star

We are delighted to announce that Forge, our fine dining restaurant at Middleton Lodge Estate, has been awarded a Michelin Star at the Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide Ceremony 2025.

Held in Glasgow on Monday, 10th February, the ceremony celebrates the best restaurants across the UK and Ireland. This award recognises the hard work and dedication of Head Chef Jake Jones and the team at Forge, who are committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience guided by our estate-to-plate philosophy.

This accolade follows last year’s Michelin Green Star for sustainability and Jake’s Michelin Young Chef of the Year Award, reflecting Forge’s reputation for seasonal and sustainable dining.

“Being awarded a Michelin Star really is a dream come true. We have an amazing team at Middleton Lodge, and this award means so much to all of us. Our guests’ experience is always at the heart of what we do, and I love creating menus that bring people together around great food.

“The estate is a constant source of inspiration, and we are always evolving and refining each dish to reflect the landscape and the seasons.”

“I would like to thank everyone who has dined at Forge, the incredible Middleton Lodge team, and of course, James Allison for believing in me and the restaurant.”

Head chef, Jake Jones

This is a fantastic achievement for both Jake and the estate. I am incredibly proud of the team and cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication, which have made this award possible.

“When I began restoring Middleton Lodge over 20 years ago, my vision was to build a place where people could gather, celebrate, and experience great food in harmony with nature. This award is a reflection of that journey and means so much to us all.

“I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success. We look forward to sharing this moment with our guests.”

Estate Owner, James Allison

Forge is open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday, offering a choice of six- or ten-course tasting menus with optional wine pairings.
