Ways to spend winter at the Forest Spa

Winter at the Forest Spa is a time to slow down and truly unwind. The air is crisp, the landscape quiet, and there’s a peaceful stillness that invites you to pause. Beside the Farmhouse and Forge, the spa feels like a world away from everything, with gorgeous views of the Yorkshire countryside.

On those crisp winter days, there’s something almost magical about stepping into the warmth of the heated outdoor pool. Surrounded by nature, with steam rising off the water and the stillness of the trees, it’s the perfect place to breathe deeply, relax and leave everything else behind.

The hot tub is a favourite for many, offering sheltered views over the pool, yet open to the outdoors. For wellness, there’s the sauna and steam room, providing a deeply restorative relaxation you won’t want to rush. If you’re looking to awaken your body and mind, the plunge pool is the perfect invigorating contrast. Throughout the spa, there are quiet lounge areas and comforting treatment huts, offering moments of space to simply be.

If you’re here for the day, our Day Spa experience gives you time to fully relax, with treatments, access to the facilities and a two-course lunch. But if your schedule is a little tighter, our Morning and Afternoon Spa packages include a 45-minute treatment (choose from a Back or Body Massage, Voya Facial, or Indian Head Massage), plus a delicious two-course lunch in our pool lounge.

For the ultimate pamper, our Full Day Retreat is the perfect way to completely connect to nature and restore your mind and body. With two hours of treatments, a private 45-minute bathing experience, full use of the facilities and a nutritious two-course lunch, it’s the ultimate relaxation.

And if you’re visiting in the evening, our Evening Ritual packages offer a wonderful way to wind down. After your time in the spa, enjoy a relaxed two-course dinner at the Coach House, or treat yourself to a six-course tasting menu at Forge (available Thursday to Sunday evenings).
