Autumn is a magical time of year here on the estate, as the leaves turn to orange and yellow and everything gets crisp and cosy.
We’re excited to open a series of selected dates where you can book a personal appointment with one of our experienced events team. The private event spaces will be styled with your dream wedding day in mind, so you can take plenty of inspiration as you look around.
If you’re recently engaged or have been engaged a while, and looking for that special somewhere to plan and host your wedding, why not make an appointment? These dates fall in autumn, but they’re a good chance to see the estate whatever season you have in mind. The gardens shift through the year, from blossom and long light in spring and summer to bare branches and frost in winter, and the spaces themselves work just as beautifully in each.
If you can’t make one of these dates, don’t worry. We hold one to one appointments every week, which can be booked at a time to suit you. These days are simply a chance to see the spaces styled.
You’ll be able to see both the Georgian Main House with its new Garden Marquee, and the Fig House in the Walled Gardens, so you can really picture what the spaces can look and feel like.

Whether you’re choosing between the two venues or looking to take both, ask about our accommodation and of course your wedding breakfast options and drinks, both of which follow our estate to plate ethos.
Whilst you’re here, why not book a table at the Coach House, our relaxed all-day dining restaurant. Here the menus change daily, depending on what’s growing in our gardens. So book a table for brunch, lunch or dinner, or just stay for a coffee and some homemade cake.
Our estate is located five minutes from Scotch Corner. If you are travelling via train, the closest station is Darlington, which is a short 20-minute taxi journey away.
