You can now book a private, one-to-one tour of our walled garden or estate gardens with a member of our senior gardening team.
The walled garden
Set across two acres and redesigned in 2014 by award-winning landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith, the walled garden is laid out on a single level and divided into four areas: the spring garden, summer garden, prairie garden and kitchen garden. Each has its own domed iron arbour, trained with either pears, white roses or wisteria, depending on the season.
At its centre sits a large lawn, and at the top of the lawn is the Fig House, which looks out across the entire space. On this individual tour our gardeners will talk through what’s currently growing and share their expert hints and tips.

If you would like to view the estate gardens as well, please let one of our team know when booking. Tours are booked individually and must be arranged in advance.
